ParkLocal (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the ParkLocal mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and password. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email from those services.

Payment Information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial information on our servers. Stripe collects and processes payment data in accordance with their privacy policy.

Listing Information: If you list a parking spot, we collect the address, description, pricing, photos, and availability details you provide.

Location Data: We access your device location only when you explicitly search for nearby parking or set your listing location. We do not track your location in the background.

Photos: Photos you upload for listings or reviews are stored on Cloudinary, a third-party cloud storage service. Photos are associated with your account and visible to other users.

Usage Data: We collect crash reports and performance data through Sentry to improve app stability. This data does not include personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To facilitate parking bookings between drivers and hosts
• To process payments through Stripe
• To send booking confirmations, reminders, and verification emails via Resend
• To display listings to other users searching for parking
• To monitor and improve app performance and fix bugs
• To respond to support requests

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

• Between users: When a booking is made, the driver and host can see each other’s name, and limited contact information during active bookings
• Stripe: Payment processing (name, email, payment details)
• Cloudinary: Photo storage
• Resend: Email delivery (email address only)
• Sentry: Crash reports (no personal information)
• Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for financial and legal compliance purposes. If you delete your account, your personal information is anonymized and your listings are deactivated. Anonymized booking records may be retained for audit purposes.

5. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the App. Account deletion permanently removes your personal information, deactivates your listings, and cancels any active bookings. This action cannot be undone.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
